Are you an office professional looking for an alternative to your current work?

Would YOU like to work online, from the convenience of your home, and earn a good hourly rate?

If this sounds you and you have free access to a modern computer with the latest software and a quiet office space for some hours per day, then a virtual assistant business might be the right choice for you. Added bonus: you can stay at home with your children and don’t need to drive to work every morning, battling the traffic.

You don’t need to set up store with lots of inventory and expensive products and you don’t need to even leave your job until you are established.
These are the great opportunity working as a virtual assistant. There are thousands of VAs (virtual assistants) worldwide and the number is rising – and the good thing is that the rising demand of entrepreneurs looking for VAs can’t be met by the current number!

So if you are looking for a new career then have a closer look at this

This site is not about coaxing you into some dodgy business idea, it’s just a site presenting you with the best training opportunities, experienced by myself, if you decide you want to give virtual assistance a go. I have already sifted through many programs in my own VA career and have signed up with only a few training providers as a affiliate because I am convinced of their good work.

I have found the online world after working for almost twenty years in a corporate environment. I first worked as wordprocessor in the good old Eighties, then became an office administrator and continued my career in executive support . All great jobs, but I got bored and felt I needed a change. I upskilled in management, communications and PR at university and wanted to use these new learned skills in my profession and also earn more money (who doesn’t?).

When strolling the Internet I found the profession of the virtual assistant (in short: VA) who helps small business with their daily Internet tasks. So after hearing about the career as a virtual assistant, I quit my job and headed straight into self-employment! (Thanks to my husband who supported me with this brave move!)

The online world is so much different than the brick and mortar office world

… which, of course, didn’t really work out, as you may have guessed. The skills I had didn’t mean much in the online world, not even my three university diplomas had prepared me for this whole big new world out there. Then I found VA Classroom and joined their courses. And I found out all there is to Internet Marketing… yay.

I’ve been working in this field now for a few years and love it. I have excelled in many online courses and mastered the online business manager certification as well (if you are curious about this higher level support role, check out: http://www.certifiedobm.com. I love helping entrepreneurs and am now offering marketing strategy and Social Media coaching. I feel very passionate about my work and would highly recommend it to others who want to find a challenging new career.

What fascinates me is the global audience: I was born in Germany, live in New Zealand and work mainly with American and Canadian people. This is so interesting because I learn a lot about other continents and how people live and what they do. Last year I went to a workshop/seminar in Las Vegas and met up with people from all over the world, which was an awesome experience.

How does online training work?

VA Classroom’s sessions are held online, via webinars, videos and audios, which means you can learn these skills from ANYWHERE in the world. If you live in the US, New Zealand, Finland, South Africa or Germany, as an example, it doesn’t make a difference. What you need, though, is a good computer, a reliable Internet connection and fairly good English skills to understand the course content and to mix and mingle with the other course participants.

It is easy to learn this way as you can self-study in the evening or at any time you want to, you can even stay in your day job and first get all the skills you need before jumping into the self-employed field.

VA Classroom has great interactive forums with many members who help you with your questions. The instructors themselves often frequent the forums to offer their advice and assistance.  I have found it a great community and made a lot of international friends there. Additionally, I learned a lot of skills that are cutting edge. After all, the virtual world moves fast.

So, if you are interested in working online and need the necessary skills to offer your online services to small business clients all over the world, check out VA Classroom’s programs!

If you have questions, don’t hesitate to shoot me an email via the contact page. Chances are I have done the course you would like to know more about. Maybe we will see each other on VA Classroom’s forums or in the Social Media networks.

Warmly,
